A 30mm cushioned foam core. This is the part that makes the floor somewhere you would choose to sit.
A brushed microfibre surface, printed with a real rug design and bound around the edge.
A grippy backing bonded underneath, so it stays put with no separate pad. One piece.
Both are real rugs for real living rooms. They are built for different jobs. See the full comparison
Ruggable's stated thickness: 4mm
Ruggable's stated thickness: 10mm, and it costs extra
One piece. Foam core built in, no upgrade.
Most Ruggables are a washable cover lying on a separate pad. Lift one and the cover comes away in your hand while the pad stays on the floor. A CloudMat is 30mm, and there is nothing to come apart.
For little ones
A softer surface than a thin rug on a hard floor, so tummy time lasts longer and new walkers get a cushioned landing. It cushions tumbles. And it looks like decor, not a play mat, so your living room still looks like your living room. Our materials are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, which means they are tested for harmful substances.

For lounging
When the floor is comfortable, the floor becomes a seat. Movie nights with pillows. Board games after dinner. Two extra spots when guests come over and the couch is full.
For your main rooms
Patterns that belong in a living room, in the sizes a living room actually needs.

Tummy time has become enjoyable for my 5 month old.. and the pup has forgotten about her fancy bed, all she wants is this amazing rug. …
… We absolutely love it, our baby is 6 months and never wanted to roll. Now after only having it for a couple days, she is rolling nonstop. …
Super soft and great quality. The grand babies love playing on it.

Shop CloudMatIt depends on what you want the rug to do. If the washing machine is the reason you were looking at Ruggable, stay with Ruggable, because CloudMat is not washable. If you were looking for a rug that is comfortable to sit on, CloudMat is 30mm of cushioned foam against a 4mm standard pad, or 10mm if you pay for their cushioned upgrade, it ships from Canada with no duties, and in-stock designs ship the next business day.
Yes. Ruggable publishes 4mm for its Standard Rug Pad and 10mm for its Cushioned Rug Pad, which is a paid upgrade. CloudMat has a 30mm cushioned foam core, with the microfibre top and the anti-slip base bonded to it. That is about 7 times their standard pad and 3 times their cushioned one.
Buy Ruggable if you want to put your rug in the washing machine, or if it has to sit under a door that swings over it. Buy CloudMat if you want a floor your family can sit, lounge and play on. Those are genuinely different products and most people know which one they need within a sentence.
Ruggable does ship to Canada. Its Canadian FAQ states that Canadian buyers agree they are the Importer of Record and are responsible for any customs duties, and that standard shipping is free to major urban centres with possible fees in remote areas. CloudMat ships from within Canada, so there are no duties at the border. Verify Ruggable's current terms on ruggable.com before you order.
No. Spot clean and vacuum. It's built for comfort, not the washing machine.
No. At 30mm it is too thick to clear most doors. It's designed for open areas where doors don't swing over it, like living rooms, nurseries, and playrooms.
A softer surface for supervised tummy time and play, and it cushions tumbles. Our materials are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, which means they are tested for harmful substances.
