Fahd has two boys. If you've ever watched toddlers play, you know "gentle" isn't in their vocabulary. Every tumble, wrestling match, and dramatic flop landed on thin decorative rugs that offered all the cushioning of a yoga mat—minus the yoga mat.
Omar noticed something every time friends came over: the couch fills up, chairs get claimed, and then someone inevitably grabs a pillow to sit on the floor. Every single time. Why can't a rug be comfortable enough that you don't need the pillow?
Since they'd already built Gravid.ca—turning weighted blankets into a Canadian household staple—they knew exactly what to do: obsess over materials until they got it right.

With a background in tech and growth marketing at companies like Shopify and Wealthsimple, he brings a data-driven approach to everything CloudMat does. Before CloudMat, Fahd co-founded Gravid.ca, helping over 60,000 Canadians sleep better with weighted blankets. He handles the technical side, marketing strategy, and making sure CloudMat reaches the families who need it most.

Omar noticed something that bothered him: whenever people came over to hang out, there were never enough comfortable places for everyone to relax. Couches fill up fast, chairs are limited, and the floor? Uncomfortable. That observation sparked the idea for CloudMat—a rug so cushioned you'd actually want to sit on it. As co-founder of Gravid.ca, Omar led product development for Canada's most trusted weighted blanket brand. He brings that same obsession with materials and comfort to CloudMat, overseeing product design and brand marketing. From foam density to pattern selection, he sweats the details to create rugs that look great and feel even better.
